About Emma

A Qualified Teacher with Over 30 Years in Education

Emma holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with Genetics (University of Wales, 1990), a PGCE in Secondary Biological and Physical Sciences (St Mary's College, Strawberry Hill, 1992), and an MSc in Psychology (Birkbeck, University of London, 2025). She began teaching in secondary schools in 1992 and has been tutoring privately since 1997.

Between 2024 and 2026, Emma completed additional qualifications to support her work with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). These include Level 3 Certificates in Understanding Autism and the Principles of Special Educational Needs, and Level 2 Certificates in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties and Counselling. She is currently undertaking further study in dyslexia with the British Dyslexia Association.
