A Qualified Teacher with Over 30 Years in Education
Emma holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with Genetics (University of Wales, 1990), a PGCE in Secondary Biological and Physical Sciences (St Mary's College, Strawberry Hill, 1992), and an MSc in Psychology (Birkbeck, University of London, 2025). She began teaching in secondary schools in 1992 and has been tutoring privately since 1997.
Between 2024 and 2026, Emma completed additional qualifications to support her work with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). These include Level 3 Certificates in Understanding Autism and the Principles of Special Educational Needs, and Level 2 Certificates in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties and Counselling.

Tutoring Rates
All sessions are one hour. Regular weekly lessons consistently deliver the best results.
A travel surcharge may apply for locations outside the listed postcodes. Online sessions via Zoom are available at all levels.
School & College Cover
Available for short-term emergency cover through to extended contracts. All work is carried out in line with current JCQ regulations. Please book well in advance during the May–June exam season as availability is limited.
